TERABEL & MINI-EVENT
So Terabel was successfully pulled out of the star’s orbit, and is now being towed by the Fleet’s gravity tractor. As Councillor Labismat explains in her network post, they are planning on renovating Terabel to allow it to better maneuver on its own, letting it roam safely through space and hopefully finding a permanent home for its sleeping cargo. The catch is that they will need materials and labor to make these engines. And that’s where you come in!
Mini-plot: Mining Colony V’Vorte
Terrestrial Entity 8.847.5 B, also known by the locals as V’Vorte, is a large and mostly desert planet that is remarkable in its abundance of natural metals. Although few people actually live on V’Vorte, the citizens of the neighboring Luminous V’Varga make regular trips to it in order to acquire raw materials for production and trade. The Fleet has contacted V’Varga regarding materials for Terabel’s new engine systems, and the locals have agreed to give access to V’Vorte in exchange for technologies and diplomatic ties.
There will be two sections to this mini-event:
1. The Mining Plains. Here characters who would like to gather materials for Terabel can go to pilot V’Vorte’s mining mechs. Don’t know how to drive a mech? V’Varga workers seem more than happy to teach people! The mechs are extremely sturdy, and the V’V culture generally views casual recklessness as an enjoyable pastime. Serious damage or loss of life will be frowned upon, of course, but mostly you’re here to play Minecraft in giant robots.
2. The Blue Circus. One of the few permanent settlements on V’Vorte, the Circus features carnival games, simple rides of all kinds, clowns, acrobats, and a petting zoo. Looking for a bit of fun? Need to relax after a day spent mining? Got a hot date? Come to the circus!
The Fleet will arrive in V’Varga’s system on June 4th and will stay through June 8th. A log post will be made and split into sections, but most of it is freeform and players are encouraged to go wild with the plains and the circus.
Afterwards, Terabel will be fitted with its new engines, and the promised rewards will be given out to participants. There will be a variety of options for rewards, which will be announced later.
